Leaside is bound by The rail way tracks south to Sunnybrook Park and from Bayview west to Leslie.

History
The neighbourhood was named after William Lea who settled in the area in the early 1800’s. At the time of settling this area was farmland, it wasn’t unitl the early 1900’s that is was declared a town. In the 60s it became a part of East York and only about a decade back, it was declared a part of Toronto. It was one of the most planned neighborhoods in Ontario But it has still retained its rural charm amidst all the development.

Neighbourhood Characteristics
Leaside is among the most popular residential neighborhoods in the city. This neighborhood mainly consists of upper and middle class people. It has a lot of green space in and around the neighborhood. One of the best places to visit in the area is Bayview Avenue with wonderful, shooping, restaurants and café’s.

Most of the homes in Leaside have typical interior décor consisting of hardwood floors and operational fireside. Most of the houses also have large private driveways along with a spacious garage. The houses built in Leaside during the 30’s and 40’s are known as Tudor homes.
